The
Double-O-Soul
Men are funny about tuxedos. They all want one, but they never know where they're going to wear it. 'There aren't enough formal events to go around these days,' is the claim, but that sort of thinking falls through when you consider this: no one knows you just didn't come from a formal affair now, do they? As far as passersby are concerned, you and your spouse, date, what have you, could have just had high-tea with The Queen for all they know, and of course, The Queen would warrant a tux now, wouldn't she?
So, taking this into account, all the possibilities start to formulate. Evening cocktails by the bay? Break out tux. A late dinner at the corner bistro? Break out a tux. A night of dancing in a basement discotheque? Break out the...Well, on a night like that, that's when you need more than a tux. That's when you need the Double-O-Soul, the classic dinner jacket, tuxedo trouser combo done the Kinston '66 way.
With three interior pockets, the single-button cream-colored jacket is collared by a streamline shawl and is constructed with the standard Kingston '66 high-armholes for increased mobility (a dance floor requirement, of course). The 60% mohair / 40% wool trousers are flat-front and tapered, and, unlike many tux trousers on today's market, feature a side ribbon that is sewn into and flush with the seam rather than simply lain on top. Thus, no unsightly buckling, making for a neat appearance. What can we say? Go out and live large.
